Its just as fun as before. Now I can play when ever I want.
The only thing I wish they brought back was the story mode in super smash bros Brawl. That was fun.
Over all fun game

Very fun game but to give this game 5 star would mean its perfect but its not perfect. Still a quality game once of the best on the console. I would recommend the wii u version.

I just picked up this game today after messing with the demo for a few days. This is the best 3ds game right now. Every single thing about it is good from the graphics to the gameplay. If you have a 3ds you must own this game its not even a question.

I haven't had a chance to play the local multiplayer because I am an adult with adult friends who do adult things like pay taxes and get black-out drunk, but going off the memories I have of the gamecube/wii versions I will wager local multiplayer is probably the same blast-tastic frendship ruining experience it's always been. If you have lots of friends with a 3DS, you can use this to weed out the weak among you.
For people like me who are stuck with the online multiplayer or single player modes, it's not as fun. I've played about 10 online matches but have given up because the lag is so horrid. Without reliable multiplayer options, the game is definitely not what it's meant to be. The single player modes are redundant, so once you've played them each four or five times, expect to shelve the game for a few months 'The Sims' style. You'll pick it up later, play for 20 minutes, put it down for another three months and the cycle will repeat indefinitely.

The best SSB...1 of if not the best 3ds game

Super smash bros. for 3ds is a magnificent game. It came out just over a week ago and i have clocked over 20 hours into it already. Id like to add I'm playing on an XL and got my game digitally from the eShop. Cant go wrong with having smash at your fingertips at all times no cartridge needed! It takes 9,105 blocks if your considering that route. With 95% of the previous games rosters returning and a whole slew of new characters all with their own feel & unique play-styles the possibilities are endless and always fresh. All of the older modes return in this the 4th installment as well as a new mode dubbed smash run. An extremely fun game mode where you have 5 minutes to run through a large map killing various enemies finding treasure chests and completing challenges to boost all of your chosen characters attributes...speed attack jump defense and arms. After which you face off against the cpu's in 1 of 4 different kind of matches to determine the winner. Very addictive and its hard to find a better or more enjoyable way to kill 6 minutes. 49 characters & 35 stages leave a lot to be explored here with many suspecting even more to come with title updates/dlc. As someone who has played ssb since 1999 before i was even a teenager the controls feel great. I did swap the jump attack and special buttons to feel more like a gamecube controller to me. Having Y as special , B as attack , and A as jump just felt the natural to me after 15 years. As far as online goes i have played over 100 matches & maybe 2 have been like playing in slow motion. Hell even a game with 3 japanese players runs as smooth as butter. It all depends on if every player has good fast and stable wifi connections. For all of the people who cant find a good online game either upgradd your internet and/or quit robbing Nintendo out of taxes and update your state zip code and location properly. You're not gonna get as good of quality a game if its trying to pair you with people in Alaska as you would say people in your own state. But again, as Ive mentioned even worldwide my online games average 50fps. Very playable competitive and fun. The only way this game could be any better is if Nintendo added their own dedicated servers for the online matches to be hosted on and added smash run to the online menu.
