We live in Florida and these blankets are cuddly, but not over heating for baby or Grandma. Use them mostly for over the shoulder protection when burping and a light blanket when out in the stroller. Their blankets are extra large and thin. Perfect for swaddling or for baby to sleep with. I also used mine a lot for coverage while nursing as it is large but breathable. Also great for covering the car seat or stroller to keep baby out of sun, but still get a breeze in the summer. My daughter is 2.5 now and we still use them regularly. These make a great gift.
